Community Reviews
This 27 inch QD OLED gaming monitor stands out for its 240Hz refresh rate, near instant 0.03ms response, and the jump from IPS or VA to OLED contrast and motion clarity. It is especially appealing for fast gaming, with G SYNC compatibility and strong performance in bright rooms for some setups. The main concerns are its modest brightness, around 200 to 400 nits depending on the spec cited, and reports of VRR flicker and banding. It feels like a sharper, faster OLED option, but not the brightest one.
Common Questions (5)
The panel is reported around 200 nits typical brightness, with ASUS listing 400 cd/m² HDR peak brightness. That can be fine in normal indoor lighting, but it may feel dim in direct light or very bright rooms.
It is 240Hz, but the practical jump above 120Hz is often small unless you play competitively. The bigger visible upgrade is moving from IPS/VA to OLED, and higher refresh can also raise your expectations once you get used to it.
Yes, VRR can cause noticeable flicker when frame rates or brightness fluctuate. It is usually most obvious when you sit still or on static scenes, and pixel shifting does not fully eliminate the concern for some users.
Yes, G-SYNC compatibility is reported to work well on this monitor. It is also a reason some buyers chose it over similarly priced Alienware OLED options that were FreeSync-only.
No, this is the budget "Z" model, while the $599 MSRP applies to the "G" model with 1000-nit HDR and WOLED glossy. That is why the Walmart listing does not show $599 as the original price.

So far the features are fantastic, get's WAY more than bright enough for me in my room with and LED lamp above me.
Gaming on it is fantastic and the G-Sync compat feature is working amazingly.
The only thing i don't like is the flicker but that isn't even that noticeable to me unless im sitting in ONE spot playing a game it fantastic otherwise !
Can you explain what you mean by flicker?
I ended up returning it because even though it was nice to use, i also stream so having long standing static UI's and stuff still made me uneasy. I know it has Pixel Shifting so that it stops it from happening but it was one of those WHEN not IF.
