I have the Dewalt sprayer, its hand carried but I wish it was a backpack. At 2 gallons it would be easy to put on.
EDIT: Yes, Makita LXT batteries work just fine with this.
I often fill this on my garden bench or next to kitchen sink.
It makes putting it on so much easier as I barely have to bend my knees to load it up.

To your point about third-party tools and proprietary batteries, I have a number of LXT-compatible tools not made by Makita. It wasn't an outrageous thing to wonder. Would have been nice to add a sprayer, but I'm not getting into another proprietary ecosystem.

To your point about third-party tools and proprietary batteries, I have a number of LXT-compatible tools not made by Makita. It wasn't an outrageous thing to wonder. Would have been nice to add a sprayer, but I'm not getting into another proprietary ecosystem.
i can't say for sure, i don't have makita stuff. but the other post for this sprayer does include some comments about the makita batteries working on this sprayer. i have the $20 mini chainsaw and those posts also have many folks saying that their makita batteries work with the saw, and those batteries look pretty much the same as the batteries shown on this sprayer. so no, not a crazy question. and i wouldn't be surprised to hear that they do actually work...
