Go look at your local Facebook Market place for some deals first. Recently got a leather Leap V2 in good condition for $180.

Two months ago I bought one of their remanufactured Steelcase V2 Leap chairs. I was having back surgery and suspected I'd spend a lot of time sitting upright and was ready to bite the expensive bullet on a nice chair. I'm on Slickdeals for a reason so I was trying to avoid spending that kind of money, but everyone on Reddit was gushing about Crandall.

I was very skeptical of the term "remanufactured" but when I looked into what all they do when they get a used one in, I don't think it's simply marketing fluff. I believe it was their YouTube channel that has a video going through the process.

I emailed one of their staff about a chair and they quickly responded, so I went for it...

This is one of those purchases I will forever look back on and regret that I didn't do it sooner. The chair is brilliant, easily the most comfortable seat in my house, especially after back surgery. Buy one, and as long as it fits you properly, you will not regret it. If you're like me, you've been through a few budget options already. If not, skip the hassle.

Based on the customer service *before I even was a customer* I feel confident that whatever chair you buy from them, they'll do you right.

The chair I got came absolutely *pristine* and I say deserves the description of "remanufactured," despite my hesitation in buying into marketing language.

In reply to the person who complained about the price, I'm not sure what competition you are referring to, but even if you are correct, I would say with something so important to your life as a chair you sit in all day, it's one of those purchases you just kinda gotta suck it up and do it. The same with a mattress as well. I regret not doing it earlier. I understand the bristling at the price, I really do, but some things are worth it.

I can only speak for their remanufactured V2 Leap and their customer service the times I've dealt with them exchanging a few emails and a phone call, but I can confidently recommend them. Honestly I'm not sure I'd bother getting any of the open box options when their other remanufactured chairs are cheaper and so much work goes into them. Plus you can customize them which is pretty awesome (the rollerblade wheels were so worth it).

TLBig GrinR - The only other time I've ever posted here was to gush about a cheap window AC because that absolute nugget survived 110 degree summers for literally a decade, so I'm posting my endorsement because I really love the chair got, the price I paid for it, and the customer service I received even before I bought anything. The warranty on such an important purchase, especially a used, is unbeatable and based on my experience and the quality of the chair so far, I have no doubts whatsoever that Crandall will do you right.

Buy a nice chair. You, your back, and your butt deserve it.

I bought a V2 leap from them in kind of a panic buy since 2024 was the last year they used elmosoft leather. Price was the same as they are now and it is a great chair.
If anyone is interested I suggest trying different chairs locally and once ready to commit choose one from Crandall.
If you don't need it new, though, you can usually find heavy discounted from offices that are closing.

I paid $446 in 2023 for used very good condition sold as is Leap V2 from BTOD. Even back then that was too pricey because of the work from home demand.

I know Crandall is known for their good customer service and good warranty, but man if your prices are around $300+ more than your competition, it might just be too much to overcome. $729 for a refurbished leap v2, meanwhile other places sell them for around $400-450. Prices has gotten ridiculous.

This price doesn't look too attractive especially Steelcase has summer sale for 10-20% off on various chair, plus if you have Chase CC, many Chase cards have offer for 15% off (up to $150), which bring down the cost pretty close to refurbished ones, and they are brand new!

right on...I went to a used chair shop to try them out. Prices and conditions at the local shop varies widely, but typically cheaper than this Crandall. YMMV. Prices on Crandall seems high. I would use them for seat cushion replacement but probably not the chair.
