Not bad. They use to offer 20% off. Their guitar sales come with a free setup. I've purchased two guitars from them in the last year and both have fret buzzes. πŸ˜”

Wait they include a setup but you had issues with fret buzz? Did they do anything to rectify it?

I hate you had the experience. I've ordered 3 guitars (Eastman hollowbod, epiphone dove, gibson LP standard) from then without any issues. They don't collect sales tax for NC so it's a nice additional discount.

Great company. I've ordered a fair amount of stuff from them over the last few years and have been very happy thus far. All guitars come with a free setup with your choice of string model and size. And no sales tax is applied to any orders shipped outside Wisconsin

Not trying to "victim blame" here, but what were your specifications on the setup? If you just gave a generic request like "low action please", I could see that possibly leading to buzzing. But if you said "I want 2 mm on the low E at the 12th fret" then they have a specific target to shoot for and you'd likely have better results

If you ask them they might do 20%. You should definitely let them know about the issues with your instruments, at least ask who set them up. I've bought an acoustic guitar, two electric guitars, and four effects pedals from them over the last 3.5 years and the guitars have always been set up perfectly. Zero sales tax outside of WI and free shipping. The pedals were discounted so much I basically got four for the price of three. I will be a customer for life.

Hot take, if you play guitar, you should be able to do a basic setup. A setup is a personal preference. Also if a guitar shipped across the country doesn't mean that the guitar wouldn't shift. I have bought many things from Cream Music during their past sales. They have sales a few times a year, and it one of my favorite shops to find a deal. No sales tax unless you are in WI

Probably not, their last sale was 20% off for a few hours then they realized their mistake and emailed everyone that it is actually 15%. I assume that they're just barely making with these sales since the guitar market is in a downturn

I remember that email. Damn shame its 15% now. Bought a guitar from them last year during Labor Day sale and it was 20%. I guess thats over now. I will still purchase from them in the future since the no sales tax for purchases really helps.
