Plastic means I can put it in the microwave. I'm there! And it's borosilicate (sp?) glass! Super great if true.

I have this exact same french press. It's cheaply built and the main stem it connected with crappy plastic part that broke off with very little force. I reached out to Bodum for warranty replacement and they just ignored it. I'd never spend money on Bodum products ever again.

Similar situation here. The weld on the cross plate broke. I asked if they could give me free shipping so I could order a new one and they ignored me. Could've at least said no!
