I am a Korean.
Why this is a good pepper paste:
less rice and more pepper itself. I live in Korea town Los Angeles and this is the sales price at Galleria Market (A korean market). When you cook soup base things, add it at the end, otherwise the taste will be flatter and not as Umami. If you gonna marinate pork belly slices, add soy sauce and a bit of apple juice to it (no more than 1 hour)--eat it with rice and wrap it on some lettuce of your choice.
