Great bag. I've taken many trips with this bag in the past year. Even worth it at $100.

I actually love the colorway, are flying soon, and would rock this normally. Only problem is that it's estimating a 3 week plus delivery window right now so probably won't make it in time.

This is the GOAT of backpacks. Was able to survive 3 weeks in SE Asia with just this bag and a few smaller compression bags inside. Walked everywhere with it and remained comfortable. Spent WAY more at REI on this bag (in different color) so highly recommend this!!!

Normal bag is 26L, expands to 32L. Different carriers have different rules on what size bags qualify as "personal item" vs carry-on for overhead bin storage.
FYI Ryan Air will flag it if you've got it expanded and packed to the gills (learned the hard way). That's a £70 oversize fee.
Oh, my bad - I missed the 26 + 6 part. Thank you for correcting.

Now, I need to decide this or the 55L (40 + 15) one.

I intentionally go with the loud colorway versions of bags because it makes it real easy to pick them out when they get lumped in with other bags, e.g. in hotel baggage holding areas/luggage carousels

Assuming you mean Farpoint/fairview line? They are a little more like a backpack and are sometimes hard to get on the entire 55l bag as personal item. 55L is great for traveling, but is not the best option for heavy electronics as the 15L is further from your body. If you get the 40 liter and 15 liter separate I think it had a pocket in the 40L. You can work around ti with straps and a sleeve for the notebook/tablets. It is also a bit more rigid.

26+6 is amazing for traveling on planes. Good off-planes but it depends if it is enough room for you. I normally use an Osprey(Proxima) for most trips as I don't normally travel on the airlines which are particular about letting you on and I like the external straps. I also like the day-lite 35. Slightly better design over 26+6 for laptops etc. and was available in the same color at 78.

This bag is made in Vietnam. It is no better than any other mass produced bag coming out of Vietnam. I do not care if you want to overpay for a backpack.
You are paying extra for the thought into the design and warranty/customer care.(possibly brand image) If that adds any value is up to the consumer.

FYI, The laptop compartment zipper opens to the main compartment, there's no separate compartment for the laptop, it's just a sleeve inside the main compartment.

Great deal for a high-quality pack, can be used as a personal item for flights, opens conveniently like luggage.

Currently traveling with the 55L and a osprey cyber pack which I think is roughly 25L.

On international united I was able to put the 55L with the 15L empty in overhead and my 25L cyber under the seat. Then when I'm day tripping I use the 15L as the souvenir collector/camera bag.

It's been working out well. Had I not needed to bring a 16" laptop, I still would have rocked this setup to bring some things back. I would use this bag in the same configuration if I had it.

Isn't carrying two backpacks around a bit cumbersome? I assume you have only two shoulders :-)

The Farpoint and Fairview line are designed to have a daypack added to the main backpack.

That's a lot of words for someone who doesn't care.
