Stainless on a wok is borderline useless. For true wok cooking you want carbon steel.

I disagree, stainless steel is fine for indoor home cooking especially indoor cooking. For home outdoor stove, these are on the small side, you want 16 to 20 inch carbon steel wok.
BTW, Lodge 15 inch lid works perfectly with this.

I did read review on Costco page left by a Costco buyer. Like me, he thought 5 ply would be excellent conductor of heat. But 5 ply meant thinner metal layer and his experience with metal cooking implements left divot in his 5 ply stainless steel wok. If one has this he'd recommend a wooden tool. I have learned to work with silicone tipped stainless steel tongs and it works well for me. If one insist on stainless steel he recommended a 3 ply as it is thicker. I do have a 3 ply stainless steel wok and it has worked well for me on induction stove. The advantage of original old carbon steel works is that oil seasoning would stay like on cast iron pans and since one do not wash with soap the flavors from previous foods would accumulate on wok and it would impart nuances of flavors. Since many of my cooking involves stock based sauces with starches I prefer stainless steel so I can wash it with soaps.

Unfortunately, home wok cooking with most stovetops do not get hot enough to matter too much. For real carbon steel wok cooking you need a commercial style high gas heat.

Don't buy stainless steel wok. Going to stick like hell, unless you'll use it for boiling/braising only (for which a wok isn't necessary at all).

If you're only goal in wok life is to impress uncle roger, maybe.
