These special versions with the fancy patterns look great while hung, but are more annoying to clean because discoloration/carbonization can get caught in the grooves that need to be scrubbed out. That won't happen with the boring flat bottom. It is cast iron so you can obviously go ham on it, but just adding an extra chore every few weeks.
They've actually done tons of these special versions, I believe they've had several US ones, a state series, Smokey the Bear, etc. This version is just particularly intricate in terms of design, so COULD present more of a challenge.
