Do not buy this type of head lamp. The holder, the piece that the flashlight is snap into, is made of cheap plastic and will break in no time. I got 2 of them and they both broke the same way. The flashlight is still useable, just not as a head lamp.

Doesn't have the strap that goes over the top of the head, seems one would have to make this uncomfortably tight or this would slide down.

I own three of these lights and have many hours of use with them. One green and two of the black ones. Great lights! I did manage to crack one plastic mount in the center but that was user error and some instant glue has made it work fine for years. The green one is on my hardhat at work, the other two are used for camping and other home use. I seldom need to use the higher brightness levels and it runs a very long time on the lower levels. I have not missed the top strap, and not having it makes it easier to drop it around my neck when I don't want to have it on my head. This is the headlamp I recommend to friends all the time.

I have the h25lr which is same body, diff led.i prefer it over the hs21 for daily undersink work.the hs21 ,even with its overhead strap, is always falling off while I'm laying on my back.this one, because of its flat profile, stays put.and i can position it low down on forehead so it points opposite my eyes in close quarters. Never had problem with clips.

I have not had this experience with several of their headlamps. It's plastic, not metal. Treat it accordingly.

not at all, it doesn't weigh that much. As a matter of fact, I think the strap that goes over the head is absolutely uncomfortable. I have several of these and they are lightweight and the battery last a long time.. so just getting additional batteries

I'll try one. If the mounts do break I'll seek a sturdier one out online. The best decently priced headlamps Ive found so far are rechargeable Eveready brand.

If you have a friend with a 3d printer, printing a mount isn't a big deal.

I have this and the Wurkkos version (H25S but in black) - Wurkkos has the black for 10 right now (I prefer the green just because).

If mount breaks by mount on Amazon, this is my favorite headlamp...

Is this the piece that broke?

Personally I prefer headlamps with 14500 (Wurkkos) or 16340 (Sofirn) batteries just because I don't need more than a few hours of runtime between charges and I want as little additional weight on my head as possible. And 300 lm is typically fine for what I'm doing.

But if you need the additional lumens/runtime and can handle the additional weight this ain't bad.
