I have to use this because my stomach is too sensitive for the Oral NSAID. I still have to take Pepcid when using this anyway but not as much.

the deal is actually available for the 2 pack: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B084ZMMVQS, $18.41 for the 2 pack with subscribe and save (plus tax)
The 2-pack is 3.5 oz, not the 5.3 in this post.

A lot of silly fear mongering in this thread. This is an incredibly safe medication and if you have some joint pain you already taking ibuprofen for, this deal is a sign you should try this instead. Pharmokinetically serum concentrations reach 1% of the oral dose. Trivial exposure and no data beyond case reports of significant gi bleeding, heart attacks/failure, or kidney injury and all of which in the setting of contraindications, overexposure or other misuse. Zero downside to trialing topical diclofenac for your aches and pains and can spare you from the numerous side effects of nsaids. This is routinelu used by people with heart disease, renal disease, and peptic ulcer disease as an alternative for conditions that strongly benefit from an nsaid.

Severe allergic reactions, liver warnings, heart attack/ stroke warnings, and stomach bleeding (literally have a tube on my desk). With all the potential issues, reach out to your doctor if you already have heart, liver, etc. issues. It does work pretty well, so I'm glad I reached out to my doctor first.
100%! Tried 3 or 4 times before i realized and confirmed the stuff was giving me bad reactions. Strangely, it was giving me severe , could not stay still, muscle spasms. It is on my primary care doctors list ,items that i have bad and or allergic reactions to it. Along with shell fish, shrimp. .

My dad actually suffered a heat attack from this...since then we threw it away. Slick price, but not worth the risks on our side.
Heat attack or heart attack?

Diclofenac in gel and pill form is an OTC medicine in many countries. It's not as bad as some may be portraying it to be. I believe the Diclofenac gel can even be bought in 3% concentration OTC in some countries. Definitely not saying that this stuff is 100% safe by a long shot and there's probably a reason why it isn't available OTC here in the US (in pill form) but it has been on the market for quite some time. As long as you follow dosing instructions and have no other contraindications it has its place in medicine's arsenal of NSAIDs/pain relievers.

Agreed! Not much gets absorbed into the blood stream compared to taking an oral NSAID!

Was just going to mention the 3% gel as well. In the US it is available via prescription only but works very well and within minutes for anyone using it "as needed" occasionally. The 3% isn't FDA approved for joint or muscle pain but it will work for those uses as well. Of course you should use a small amount compared to the 1% under your doctor's orders. The 1% is much safer and the way to go for those dealing with chronic/daily issues. Happy healing and 4th to all!
