I have the Gesture from an Amazon deal a few years ago, and a Herman Miller prior to that. The chairs great and does it's job, the best thing about the company is the warranty though it's hassle free and they never hesitate to just send you a new part or completely new chair if you have any issue with it. I've had my Gesture replaced completely for free 2 or 3 times for honestly extremely miniscule issues(Small squeak wd40 would fix/headrest falling off) and the Customer Support was always top tier.

A lot of people would complain about the price but when you factor in that the warranty is for 12 years and hassle free you're basically paying $50-$80 per year.

Another Leap owner, ~14 years. I replaced the seat pad about 2.5 years ago. It's outlived just about everything in my office.

I own 3 steelcase chairs and they are the best by far. i have the gesture and leap v2. for taller folk, the leap is better (6'2" and up) and the gesture is best for the rest. they retailed for $1100-1300, i got refubished for about $600 so this price is great. they last for years. so happy with them had them for 11 years now

Just curious but which leap v2 seat pad did u go with and how does it compare with the original? My Leap v2 bottomed out and its been pretty uncomfortable. I think it's time I replace mine too.

sooooooo after talking to both Steelcase and Chase representatives, if i decide to make a purchase on the Karman chair I will not be qualify for the 15% cashback.

why you ask? because the chair won't ship until 4 weeks after the purchase has been made. Chase 15% cashback expires on July 15th. Steelcase won't be charging the credit card until the item has been shipped. Because the item won't be shipped until 4 weeks after, that is after the July 15th cut off date for the 15% cashback. Steelcase said there will be a full amount pre-authorization charge and will eventually drop out of the statement, but after talking to Chase bank, pre-authorization charge can't qualify for cashback offers.

if anyone else see or think differently, please let me know. Because i want to pull the trigger on the karman chair but with 15% cashback of course.

Mine shipped out on the 13th but they havent charged my card, called to complain about it mentioning the need to get this done today and they're waiting for their "Financing Team Lead" to finish their meetings to authorize. Ugh.
