Amex has a 50% cash back offer, check your offers and make sure you add it before signing up.

Also, GETOUTSIDE has been working as a 50% discount for a few months now.

Community Reviews

AllTrails Plus is the paid hiking app tier that stands out for offline trail downloads, park-wide maps, elevation views, and off trail alerts that still work without cellular service. The deal price can be pushed lower with Amex offers or promo codes, and the code has also triggered on lapsed accounts and renewals. A recurring theme is that existing memberships are hard to extend directly online, so renewal often requires canceling, letting it lapse, or using a separate account. It is a strong fit for hikers who want dependable offline navigation and are willing to work around the renewal process.

The best deal I could find on the Peak subscription level is code LIVINOUTLEHR30 which is 30% off $79.99 (so $55.99) then the AMEX offer cuts that down to $28 for the year.

Peak has the Plus features, along with Custom Routes, Trail Conditions, Community Heatmap, and Outdoor Lens

Did you use an American credit card? Last time I tried vpn trick a few months ago, it seemed like they limit it to credit cards of the corresponding country. Other comments online said the same.
Looks like the payment went through on Paypal, didn't realize I had it set up that way but makes sense why it wasn't flagged.

Did it do it automatically? I did the top tier one for like R$109 which came out to like $18 USD.
I got a reminder email from them a few days prior and there was a button in the email that said Renew Automatically, so I had to click that and confirm it and then it renewed automatically on the renewal day.

While it doesn't allow you to renew an existing account, you can force it to do two accounts using the same e-mail if you're stubborn like me and use Google Play Store. My existing account is through Google Play when I did this deal last year and it is expiring in 20 days or so. I went to the website directly and was still able to use the code logging in using Google for the same e-mail and it went through. I just had to log out and log back in using Google. The only obvious annoyance was if you are want to keep your data or account history from the first account as you will lose it, but you can take advantage of the deal again...

If you do it this way and get the code to apply for half off, do you pay through the Google Play Store subscription or from the website/Alltrails app directly? I have Google Play $$ I want to use but it's showing the regular $36 price if I go through Play Store.

I just renewed at the Brazilian price from last year, $9. Can't beat it.

Exactly this! I got the auto-renew notification a couple of weeks ago and realized it would still be cheaper than to cancel & renew at the US rate for 50% off. Like you, I just let it auto-renew in Brazilian Real. Big Grin
You can also ask to cancel after accepting to renew at R$49.90/year ($9.70). It will then offer 30% off. I accepted that offer.

VPN trick is not working for me. Tried VPN to a few different countries, but the checkout page keeps telling me to select the correct billing country, no matter which payment method I use. Did they fix this or am I just missing a step?

Mini-hack: if you are due for auto-renewal and you click Cancel - it will offer to continue at 30% off, which is not as nice as 50% off, but no hassle and your subscription is not interrupted. If you are not currently enrolled for renewal - enroll at full price first and then click cancel to get this offer.

Do you know if you can use Google Play dollars to pay for the 30% off price, with this hack?
