I have this and it works good enough. I used it for installing recessed lights in my kitchen ceiling and I get to see where the joists are and where the electrical wire runs. I didn't care for seeing in 4k, just so I know what's behind the ceiling.

Not sure if fake reviews or not, but I can see why this is a frequently returned item. Most people probably wouldn't need this for more than a single use... So buy it, use it, return it. Not saying it's ethical, just saying some stores make it easy to do that for these types of specialty items.
