Ive had this for a year now it'll start making a rattle after a while. I took it apart and tried to figure out why its doing it, looks like a design flaw.

I have an expensive brand tower fan like this as well as a cheap brand and both developed a similar vibration/rattle after about 1 year of light use. Although this isn't a large sample size, after hearing your 3rd brand has the same problem I'd guess all tower fans will have a similar problem over time. I'm switching back to a good old fan on a pole design as I've never had an issue with those failing over time. I just liked the tower fan shape more since it takes up less space overall.

can someone help me confirm my logic. If I want a tower fan like this, but also need a HEPA air purifier in the same room, i may as well just buy one of those dyson tower air purifiers that can double as a fan, am I correct?

Watched a review, said Dyson air throughput was very low compared to standard fans

Build yourself a
Corsi Rosenthal fan
If you are interested in filtration

Some diy skills are helpful but not necessary.
