Do not buy this POS. The HDMI ports have failed. Only color is purple and green. And random shutdowns Manufacturer will not help..just stall tactics. Bought the 5 year warranty from Best Buy. Will not honor it until after Manufacturer warranty ends. We are tossing ours out in the trash after owning 6 months.

All three of the HDMI ports have failed? Have you changed your cable? Have you changed your source? Hard to believe three HDMI ports failed within 6 months for any TV.

Does bringing the warranty denials to Best Buy not resolve their unwillingness to replace/repair as part of your extended service plan?

I've always stuck with the major brands, but after researching, it appears this model and the Hisense U7 are rated at the top of this class when factoring in affordability and performance. Obviously there are more expensive and better TVs, but for this mid tier, you're not going to beat these 2 models. You can spend a few hundred dollars more for what is considered top of the class of these mid-level TVs, but to your everyday viewer, you will not receive that much better of a TV. You're paying for the name elsewhere. Go to rtings.com to compare models and you'll be surprised to find out that these two referenced models I beats most name brand competitor models and priced much lower. I have a LG QNED85 which was considered among the better models of this mid-tier, but the models I referenced above, beats it.

Whoops sorry. Thought this was the TCL QM6K. The TCL QM6K and the Hisense U7 are the models I was directly referencing. I don't know anything about QM5K. I see that it has a 60 Hz refresh rate so there's likely some significant differences. My apologies!
