Great deal! For under 5'9". And great for anyone with mobility issues. We spent close to 1500 for my Mom, then my brother-in - law with used it, then it got passed on to someone else.
Great chairs!

It's so fun to use when you don't need it and then you just do it for fun. I'll forget to eject myself and then sit back down to eject myself off the chair. This seems like a good deal, but I don't understand the hidden cupholder. Does it hide the beverage too? Is this an old sneak drinker recliner??

Alright, I get it that being funny on the internet is fun but understand this is for people who have issues with pain or mobility in general. I imagine many veterans would benefit from something like this if it were high quality.

Honestly if this was only mediocre quality I'd consider this for post surgery recovery. I've had 4 abdominal surgeries since 2022 (going through a large portion of the abdominal wall 3 of those times)....getting in and out of chairs can be quite the adventure. Even ripping stitches at times. But of course you can't spend months sitting on bar height wooden chairs either. Hopefully I'll never need this but I'd gladly shell out $300 if it comes up again. Even if it ends up at Goodwill afterwards.

FWIW, for long term use, the VA, in theory, should pay for something like this if needed. That being said, with the current chainsaw style cutbacks, getting that kind of support is also an adventure....

No doubt about that, but nobody should expect high (or even average) quality for a $295 brand new electric recliner.

No, BUT, it may surprise us. I've found many products from this manufacturer and others in this realm to be of far higher quality than the price supposes. They have intensely optimized pipelines and since everything is right there, the actual difference between these and some of the top of the line brands is surprisingly small. Not imperceptable by any means, but it's something to consider when balancing the pros and cons.

Wonder if this is really comfortable. Lots of massage chairs are not that comfortable because you can feel parts protruding through the seat.
Price is not bad though.

I have a very similar one that's listed here. That's what I got mine for. I had 2 surgeries that it covered as well as issues with bad leg pain. I don't use that feature right now, but I use the recliner for hours every day still. It's very comfortable (to the point every other chair feels like it sucks) and seems to be holding up well with the 3 years I've had it. No issues with back pain or anything over the time I've used it either.
