This gooseneck phone holder is best suited for simple bed or desk mounting when you do not need constant repositioning. The clamp style can hold a phone, Kindle, and even an iPad Air M3, and a similar Lisen version has stayed secure on a headboard for tablet use. The main drawback is durability and stiffness, with reports of weak arms, bouncing under repeated touch, and bases or joints breaking quickly. It feels like a low-cost holder that works best when left mostly in place.
The spring-tension arm version can hold a tablet securely over a headboard for bed use without sagging.
The holder can work well for devices like a Kindle and an iPad Air M3 at the listed price point.
The clamp style can become extremely sturdy after tightening knobs for setups that do not require frequent repositioning.
The holder type can be a good fit when frequent adjustments are not needed for desk or projector use.
The plastic base can break in about two days, and higher-end Lisen versions have reportedly snapped quickly.
The clamp and base design can feel weak and may fail to keep a phone in the desired position.
The base can use a thin metal cylinder that reportedly fails, so a solid metal core may be safer.
Some versions can bounce when pressed often, which can make positioning less stable for phone use.

I bought a nicer one for around $30ish, and it's wayyyy better. But the one I own is sold out right now. 😞

For the record, I have this one and it's absolutely fine. For the price, it can't be beat. It holds Kindle very easy and even an iPad Air M3. It will bounce if you're pressing it often.
I have mine attached to my headboard so I can swing it down and use my A9+ tablet while lying in bed. I keep a PS4 controller so I can play games via Steam Link. The version I have does not sag and securely holds the tablet over my face.
Not sure why it says "gooseneck" in the description, this is a spring tension arm and way better than a gooseneck.
These can be adjusted in way more positions than the one posted, but they lock down and become extremely sturdy when the knobs are tightened.
I use one for my portable mini projector and it makes it super secure.

They just throw their name on generic products.
