My uneducated opinion: 4k makes the foreground animations look worse, but those background mattes are in. credible. Sometimes I just pause a scene and stare at them.

Have it on Blu-ray but honestly think this might be in the top 50 most overrated films. It isn't terrible but it certainly isn't anywhere as good as the masses suggest that it is.
