The white tax is strong. I got one of the 9070xt from Walmart for $550. I half considered a second one and trying to figure out how to paint and/or replace the fans to turn it all white. I have a build planned for my son and he wants a full white build which is the only real reason I'm looking at them.

That was kind of a once in a few months kind of deal (maybe a year) for sure. Maybe even a price mistake?. I grabbed the Amazon Gigabyte OC deal for $630 over a month ago and that's the best price I've seen recently. Normal prices still around $650 on a deal, so this isn't that far off for a white color. Not saying it's good but more aligned with current market.

Yep I got it for $650 on Amazon a month ago or so. Replaced my 3090 with it. Hands down best decision I've made. Sold my 3090 for $800. And my games are sooooo much higher FPS now in 4K.I don't do deep learning anymore so loss in VRAM was no big deal.

Beautiful looking card for an all-white model, but unfortunately, I already own an AsRock Steel Legend 9070 XT in the white colorway even though I would prefer mine to be from ASUS. On a different note, anybody in the market for a 5070, the same "Prime" model iteration from ASUS is currently on sale for $600 on woot!:

Agreed. My "white" AsRock Steel Legend 9070 XT costed me $670 when I bought it early June of last year.

Just to piggyback off of what the OP said, you'll not only need to login into your ASUS registered account, but you'll also need to the click the blue "Buy now": button on the product page which will take you to a different follow-up product page where it shows the actual $700 price, saving yourself "$120."

I have a 4070 regular, do you think it's worth upgrading to this? I'm worried about prices going off the rails soon.

I'm hoping against hope prices on these come down, as electronics used to do over time, but they said prices might be going up in future? If another 550 deal appears I'd buy two :p

probably a price mistake. i wouldnt expect to see any 9070xt's below msrp aside from pricing errors or refurb/open box. best thing we've seen is at or slightly above msrp with different cashback deals (such as prime day's 10% back for prime young adults, or cashback portal deals)

Can't speak to it being a mistake. They shipped it and I received it within two days. The deal was live for a couple hours I believe.

pricing error doesnt mean they cancel it. a lot of (but not all) stores will fulfill the order if the system let you place it, especially if it isn't much below how much it costs them. an example is microcenter, they generally have allowed people to buy items at their reservation price, even if their reservation was placed with a pricing error
