For whatever reason the thermometer used for controlling the compressor is in the case outside of the internal cooling space. This means the outside temperature impacts the thermometer more than it should leading to over cooling if the room temp is too warm. If you have the know how you can take the case off and put the thermometer where it is supposed to go but does require a lot of effort.
