I work in a warehouse where we open boxes all day. Multiple guys all like to show off their new knives. I've seen two of these absolutely come apart and slice open a guy's finger. Absolute garbage plus difficult to change out the blades takes way too long. And the little screw eventually won't stay tight
. I literally hate these knives

I love mine. I use it all the time and have for years. Zero issues.

Now I don't open boxes all day every day but it has gotten a lot of use and it still works the same. Just fine.

Been using EAB at the house since it launched. No issues with the screw falling out. Weekly Amazon boxes only though. I'd imagine I'd want something bigger if it was my 9-5.

Way too much exposed blade for a razor imo

Bought a few of the original versions during last sale. I found that the screw for only one of them keeps coming loose. The others stay tight. I don't expect the highest QC for these things but still love the compact form.

Wow that's nuts, we have a team of people that use this every day for box cutting and more. Never even had a close call. We buy them for the entire team.

Certainly if you misuse them you could get hurt.

I have never seen one of these loosen on their own in a decade of use and monitoring our staff.

These don't just "fall apart" slice of everything on the way without misuse.

Just for clarification, was the guy using two knives at the time they cut his finger, or did he do it two separate times?

I've had the EAB and the EAB lite for years. They stay in the drawer at this point as other have pointed out it's, not a very good design. Too much blade exposed, annoying blade changes, and not easily manipulated one handed.

The little Workpro and Duratech axis-lock utility knives are better in every way.

Seems cool but if I use it in place of my EDC pocket knife I am likely to use it how it shouldn't be used and break the blade. I keep my EDC pocket knife sharp enough to cut open boxes when needed to.
