Paul McBeth and Ricky Wysocki both have Discraft/MVP deals reportedly worth around $1M/year in sponsorship alone, on top of tournament winnings. Wysocki's the all-time career earnings leader at $912K+ in prize money, McBeth is right behind him at $871K+. Gannon Buhr led the tour in 2025 with $164,751 in prize money for the year and has already cracked $590K lifetime. On the women's side Paige Pierce leads all-time at $467K, and top FPO sponsorship deals (Kristin Lätt, Kona Star Panis) are reportedly guaranteed at $125K/year. But yes - often when you go to a course (especially in socal) you'll smell weed.

it's honestly a nice sport to get outside/in shape.
if you like soccer, I recommend looking up a Multigolf course. it's disc golf baskets but they also have holes under them so you can play with a soccer ball.
