Yeah, I had to kill time that day so I decided to make it worth my while, plus it was a thousand dollar generator.
You sure this isn't just a "your warehouse blows" problem? I've been returning expensive shit that breaks up until last week and have NEVER been denied. Not a single time. TVs that were almost 5 years past purchase date, kitchen equipment that failed, vacuums, etc. Nobody ever bats an eyelash, but this is also Central FL where all 3 of our Costco's are so f*cking busy it's unreal.

I think most of us may have been misusing their return policies and that hurt the stores and the manufacturers. We all should become a little responsible customers before the store becomes more responsible by refunding our memberships & banning us for 2 years from acquiring new memberships.
Exactly. He conveniently left out the part when he bought it. Sure, 45 hrs is not a lot but if it was purchased 10 yrs ago and you have lots of high dollar returns, it changes everything. Not saying this is his scenario, but stores like Costco treat it case by case, but they definitely go above and beyond. Anyone complains about their generous return policy is straight up playing the system.

Costco has been undergoing a slow and silent shift in their policy, they are starting to treat returns differently if the item "is outside of its reasonably expected service life". We had to return a generator with a carb issue (~45 hours on the odometer, which is very low) and it took 3 hours of arguing to get them to take it back.

They were adamant on the "expected lifespan" and I had to keep asking them to produce the return policy, in writing, that said they could do that. They were never able to produce it. It went on for hours until they realized I used to work there and knew the policy myself!

I tried to return a broken can opener a few months later and they started the same route and offered to refund my membership if I wasn't satisfied. I just pointed at the return policy on the wall and said bring your manager out and ask them. He tried the same thing again until I asked for it in writing and all of a sudden they would honor the return right away.
Thank the people returning 30 year old rear projection TVs for the change of policy.

EDIT: Looks like it does. My bad!
"Not sure why the Costco Roborock models in general skip RGB cameras that are present in comparable Roborock models. For example, the Qrevo Edge 2 has one that helps with AI object recognition, but this one, which is the Costco version, doesn't. Maybe cost, or is it some other policy?"

How does it compare it with Saros 10R, I just bought it on Amazon for $899.
From what I've read online, this ultra 2 from Costco is probably the better deal, and safer bet if need to return or anything

Just a warning Roborock Customer Service and Technical support is complete ass. It took a week of email back and forth for a warranty on a different Roborock of mine. Great Product, Terrible Support... Buy from Costco so you don't have that headache down the line.

I have the GoVac 508, and my dad has the Revo Arc, both from Costco. They were going on sale routinely for around $450. Sure they don't get as hot or have as much suction but I don't think the tech in this vacuum justifies the price tag.

I bought the Qrevo Curve after seeing the positive reviews on it on Vacuum Wars. my main gripe with it is that it has no sensor for when the dust bin is full since Roomba has a patent on it. so it will continue to vacuum even when the bin is full and will leave balls of fur (I have two dogs) and the roller will eventually jam with said ball of fur. so you have to manually create smaller "rooms" in the app so that the vaccuum will go back to empty the dust bin more often. very annoying. the mopping feature works great though.

Purchased the gen 1 of this for about the same price. If you want a very convenient robo vac this does it all, don't have pets and primarily use on hardwood floors and some areas with rugs but the suction power on the second highest and highest pick up everything. Only complaint is my kitchen is Spanish tile and has thick cement lines in between that are about a half an inch deep that the vacuum seems to not work as well on.

Be careful, cuz they might just ban your membership by the GM from the local warehouse. It happened to my friend.

And how long ago was it purchased?
About 8 months. Purchased during a winter sale and used during fire season before it broke.

Very similar, but this one is $120 cheaper and comes with Costco return policy.
