ZC suffix means Canadian version so no manufacturer warranty whatsoever.

Looks like Samsung is matching the deal thru Edu or Epp accounts. https://www.samsung.com/us/multis...-q990f-za/

Man that's tough, it's a great price but a pricey gamble. I'm assuming if something 'breaks' it's most likely to be the wireless?

Samsung returns are a painful process (from my exp). Yes you are missing out on the warranty and yes the better deal is with the EPP on Samsung's website but i wouldn't put too much weight on the added warranty. These setups tend to last a few years before they start doing weird stuff and at which point you are out of manufacturers warranty

I can also confirm the return process through Samsung is painful. Did it 3 weeks ago after the model below this froze on the HDMI/eARC display. Nearly 2 hours on the phone to get a return auth.

I am in the process of looking into this myself so I am not sure - hopefully someone who has done this can comment. This said, my understanding is that you sign up for AAA membership (which can possibly even be the lowest tier at $25/year which is simply for discount with no roadside assistance), and from the AAA website, there is a promotional partnerships page for Samsung that will redirect you to their website and provide you the price of $799. I have not 100% confirmed though that the lowest tier membership will work.

BTW, I tried registering my LLC/S-Corp into the Samsung EPP program and it has been a PITA and I am close to giving up and simply going the AAA route.

I've returned many things to Samsung directly and it's been a breeze. I always read comments like this and baffled. I'm not doubting but sharing my POV. I've returned 75" q90a, 77" oled, a speaker, phone and they refunded my qn95b after 1 year due to defects.

Nice catch.

Has anyone tried this with non Atmos content? How does it perform with 5.1 content?

i have the q990c variant of this from a few years ago. Love it except for one specific bass frequency sounds like absolute trash. Pretty sure it's harmonizing with the frequency of the plastic baffle or something. Have tried everything to get rid of it but to no avail. It unfortunately didn't start until well outside of warranty either. Oh well.

Just curious what your LLC/S-Corp does that might compel Samsung to regard you as a corporate partner?

Good catch. Not open to take the risk. I'll go with the Samsung EPP/EDU https://slickdeals.net/f/19579041-samsung-q-series-soundbar-hw-q990f-11-1-4-ch-epp-edu-799-84-free-shipping?src=SDSearchv3&attrsrc=Thread%3AExpired%3AFalse%7CSearch%3AType%3Anormal%7CSearch%3ASort%3Arelevance%7CSearch%3AHideExpired%3Afalse

Regardless of what the LLC or SCorp does, it turns out they require a verification through ID.me. Even then it's unclear whether it would get approved. I called and I spoke with the EPP team and the rep said usually most of the EPP customers he sees are large corporations such as T-Mobile. employees
