I bought a Midea refurb from Walmart 6 weeks ago. Only had a 30-day return with Wal-mart. It started throwing an error code and won't work. Called Midea, they created a ticket and I emailed pics of the error, proof of purchase, etc. 9 days ago and still haven't heard a word. Don't think I'd buy a refurb from them again.

Keep in mind this unit like other portable acs is heavy at 50+ pounds. It'll be a pain to return, especially if your car doesn't have a big trunk if it's missing parts or has an error code.

Got mine a few months ago, my bedroom is CRISP in this heatwave, love it - glad I got one that works.

You can schedule a usps pickup up to for free. Not sure if midea uses USPS or FedEx for returns. Last time I scheduled a FedEx pickup it was $10. That said, returning any heavy item whether purchased from the store or online would be the same issue.

I was one of the people that got it for $210. It was delivered upside down in a fairly beat up box but it works absolutely perfect. It's better than the 2 Whynter 14000 btu units I own

If it does not meet the eBay conditions of a "Certified Refurbished", can it be returned if not clean, broken, pristine condition... with eBay/Seller paying for the return? A LOT of complaints with the seller. It seems to get any issue resolved requires days/weeks of emailing then ultimately getting eBay involved.

"We've verified that this item has been inspected, tested and cleaned by a qualified refurbisher.
Appearance: Pristine, like-new condition.
Performance: Works like new, meets the manufacturer's specifications.
Warranty: Two-year warranty serviced by Allstate."
Packaging: Comes in new, generic packaging with original or new accessories (if applicable).

They instantly / auto accepted offer of $210 for me earlier . I had been following since last post and offered before deal was posted here again .

I asked about one part of the listing saying free returns and another part saying buyer pays return . They avoided answering and said I could refuse delivery ..

Available at the same price from Walmart online (but no opportunity to make an offer). Reviews have been mixed on quality but I'd rather have a store to return to.

So I feel like returning to Walmart would be much easier (and can be done for any reason) but with eBay you would have to pay return shipping unless you can prove it was damaged / defective, but if so would at least also qualify for free return shipping with eBay.

Can I cool my garage with this if I somehow cut holes in my walls or garage doors? Not sure I want a full mini split although that's prob what's best

I bought this brand new from Costco 11 months ago. It's throwing codes that means it has a alleged refrigerant leak. It was only used last year during the month of August and this year the month of June and it crapped out beginning of July
