Usually I wouldn't share deals that require now-expired deals to use, but that had 300+ upvotes 40k views and SD'ers love Nintendo so thought it would be worth it to share.

Groupon Fine Print:
  • Redeem balance ONLY through the Nintendo eShop and other Nintendo shopping services, including Nintendo systems that offer access to the Nintendo eShop, to download content such as games and other features, or to purchase items (subject to availability).
  • Valid for use in the United States only.
  • Limit 2 per person.
  • Use of this card requires broadband Internet access, and acceptance of a User Agreement, and Privacy Policy.
  • Please review the User Agreement at support.nintendo.com before purchasing.
  • Compatible accessories and software may be required to use certain downloaded content, and are sold separately.
  • When you enter the card's activation code on the Nintendo eShop or other Nintendo shopping service, the card balance will be associated with your Nintendo eShop account and will be non-transferable.
  • There will be no remaining balance on the card.
  • The card balance may only be used on a single Nintendo eShop account.
  • There is a maximum unused account balance that may be stored on a single Nintendo eShop account, and the card may, as a result, be temporarily unredeemable.
  • Card balances do not expire, and there are no fees associated with the card.
  • This card is non-reloadable.
  • Card balances cannot be redeemed for cash or for third-party stored value, and are non-refundable unless required by law.
  • Card balances will not be replaced by Nintendo or your retailer if the card is lost or stolen.
  • Please visit support.nintendo.com for more information.

Can't add code to cart. $20 for $17.99 is worse than the 15% off that Costco seems to have all the time

Thanks, OP! I grabbed a $20 Nintendo eShop eGift Card for $12.45. I had a $5 Groupon credit just sitting there, so this worked out great.

This is a $20 Nintendo gift card for $12.50.
it's linked in the post but did you claim the free $5 credit from the weekend? it's required for this deal.

i redeemed my Freedom to Do More voucher but it does not seem to add the groupon bucks to my account, it just gives me a 8 digit groupon code. Anyone know how exactly to apply this, it doesnt auto apply during checkout and i cant seem to find a place to enter it.

this is most likely the only thing I will even be able to find worthwhile from groupon, unless someone has other suggestions of what to use the $5 credit towards.

I did it, but when I go to the redemption page for the Nintendo code, I'm getting a "your order will be ready in 24-48 hours" thing. That seems unusual...

I'm getting the same. Anyone got their code immediately?

Edit: It worked just now. Guess it takes time for some people.

I appreciate this post. I forgot about the $5 Groupon, it probably would have expired? if it wasn't for this post. Thank you! We should always have a follow up post like this that lists all the deals that stem from a previous deal.

Try now. I ordered last night right after this was posted but wasn't able to claim until just now.

I just ordered and every time I click on View Voucher it times out. Not sure if happening to anyone else but maybe the site/app is getting overloaded...

Edit: worked after I tried on my laptop. Nothing on my phone would work at all.
