Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank crypticpurpose

The same camera is available without the bundle for $299 on Amazon right now, and the extra battery only costs $35 MSRP.

That means your remaining $35 here are paying for a chinzy selfie stick and a 64GB SD card, which is not the greatest deal, IMHO. If the other deal disappears, that's a different story, but right now, you're better off buying a la carte.

i have this camera it's ok but skip if you're thinking about taking any kind of low light or night footage

the batteries also like to drain faster than i expect them to for less than a year of ownership and i'm not even using these at the highest quality or bitrates

if i could go back in time i'd have just gotten an insta360

Anyone tried it underwater? Is it still useless without a case just like 360?

I have this bundle. I would not describe the selfie sick as chintzy. It is actually really well built with a rubber grip, it's very sturdy even at full extension, and the invisible pole feature works great (though I'm not sure a 3rd party stick wouldn't work too).

But I agree that this deal isn't excellent. I'd rather go for the no bundle $257 open-box w/ 1 year warranty at BestBuy. I got the bundle in this post's deal in March for $299.97 at Costco.

It is a really good camera though, and GoPro support, warranty, accessories, GoPro Premium are all better than the competition. I'm very glad I got it and would still be happy with my purchase if I paid full price. I use it as a dashcam while I'm biking. Top of the helmet mount comes with the bundle.

I've had this camera since March and I would buy another in a heartbeat if I needed one. I get that the competition is better for certain people for certain use cases. Low light isn't the best, but it's perfectly fine for the vast majority of people especially with the right settings. I also get at least an hour of recording on highest bitrate and resolution, which is enough for me.

I'd easily choose GoPro over Insta360 for the premium subscription alone. $29.99 for first year, then $59.99/year for unlimited cloud storage for GoPro files. I've already used up a terabyte. Plus accidental camera replacement and excellent support and warranty.

You won't see anything if you use a GoPro in low light, indoors, or at night. I returned mine after trying it out. Thanks.
