If that functionality was pay walled, it didn't tell me when I enabled it. I did a manual record just fine to make sure it could, and that worked, but I didn't want to bother with it anymore and just returned it.
Birds didn't like it, it didn't record motion. I had it up for nearly two weeks.
"There is a memory card slot on the camera but no mention of it being usable to keep full resolution video."
