No. For major wholesale warehouses, only Costco is top tier gas provider.

They actually have the worst gas I have ever gotten from anywhere. First time I've felt my daily car performing worse and even their premium grade gave my sports car a rough idle. Went away as soon as I ran a few tanks of gas from another gas station through it.

Is this in terms of pricing or gas quality?

I moved to a town with a BJs practically next door and the nearest Costco is 20 minutes away. I miss my Costco so much.

BJs gas station is one of the worst designed businesses I have ever seen. They haven't got enough space to manage the line. I also hate that they take cash. You get in a line, someone gets out of their car, they have to walk over to a kiosk, wait in that line, pay, walk back. The pumps are slow. For whatever reason, even with my BJs membership/credit card, I have to enter my zip code on a keypad before I can pump.

The Costco 20 minutes away has like 4x the pumps and is marvel of efficiency. I never even have to wait during busy times. There are lights that show you the openings.

Top Tier Detergent Gasoline and Top Tier Diesel Fuel (both stylized TOP TIER) are performance specifications and trademarks for fuel, designed and supported by several automakers.[1] BMW, General Motors (GM), Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Ford, Honda (incl. Acura), Toyota, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, Navistar, Audi, and Volvo support the gasoline standard, while General Motors, Volkswagen, Detroit Diesel, and Navistar support the diesel standard (as of 2018). Top Tier fuels must maintain levels of detergent additives that are believed to result in a higher standard of engine cleanliness and performance as compared to the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirement. In addition, Top Tier fuels may not contain metallic additives, which can harm the vehicle emission system and create pollutants. As of 2026, Top Tier Detergent Gasoline is available from 105 licensed retail brands,[2] and Top Tier Diesel Fuel is available from 6.[3]

Licensed Top Tier fuel retailers use a higher level of detergent additive which can increase fuel economy and optimal engine performance. According to a Honda spokesman, the regular use of this type of gasoline results in improved engine life.[4]

The Top Tier standards must apply to all grades of gasoline or diesel that a company sells, whether it is economy (low-octane) or premium (high-octane).[5]

Good deal . I'd consider doing this . I'm currently a bjs member I got 5$ renewal expired membership deal a few months ago. For 1$ per gallon off of gas for 30 days I'd create a new account. I have 2 vehicles I drive regularly and can see much more than a 15$ savings -20$ savings. When does this expire? I filled up both vehicles yesterday on the 7-11 deal.
If I take this deal Do you have to activate in store with ID?

I did this last year for the BJs Groupon deal and its expiring soon too
