So how do you adjust current and schedule time of charging? Is there an app?
Edit : upon looking at the picture, it looks like it's all done on the unit itself.

Don't know which car you have but some EVs come with a level 1 charger which is much slower

EVs that come with a cable at all, come with Level 1. There's too much variability in Level 2 amperage and NEMA receptacles in the homes that even have one to mass provide or standardize.

You don't need these. If you have a Tesla, Install NEMA outlet and plug in the portable Tesla charger. I get 32amp and charge my car every night to 80% in a few hours overnight even if 20% or below. 32amp is plenty for overnight charging at home.

Save your money and the risk of these things failing.

Can this work with level 1 if need be? My granny leads died, but I'd like to have the option to charge level 2 if I ever get to having the NEMA receptacle in my laundry room moved. It'll likely mostly be used level 1, but if I'm spending the money I'd want to have the option

Highly recommend a charger that has more amp options available. For example at a campground a lot of times the breakers will trip at 32a even though it's a 50a breaker due to heat and now you're stuck at 16a charging instead of being able to only slightly derate and charge at 30a for example

And if you *could* put fuel in it at home without going to a gas station, you'd do that too.

Buying as a backup in the event one of my other two L2 chargers die. I have one at my parents and one at home. The home one has wifi so I can schedule charging during cheap times at night from my phone.

I have a PHEV Pacifica so L2 charging has been great to top off between errands.

This EVSE is decent enough for Shell to put their name on it. Adjustable Current: 12A, 16A, 24A, 32A, and 40A. The only difference seems to be the 120V (for use as a Level 1 EVSE) adapter cable and a nicer storage case. https://egevgoer.com/products/she...ev-charger video review here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F...ctU&t=495s

Most come with a 240v 14-50 plug in addition to the 120v 5-15 plug.

None. Believe it or not, some used EVs don't come with a charger.
