I am happy with the Serengeti Mastens I got from a previous Woot deal. I wouldn't bother with the other Serengetis listed, they use the plastic Saturn lenses instead of the mineral glass lenses on the Mastens. Note the difference between the 2 colors: the matte black frames have the brown Drivers lenses that everyone seems to love online as good general use sunglasses, the gunmetal has green lenses that are better for bright sun than the Drivers but otherwise not as good. I got the gunmetal with the green lenses since I was going to be using them for bright sun/the beach. Haven't taken them to the beach yet but they're certainly the nicest pair of sunglasses I've ever own and do a fantastic job in bright sunlight.

I have some Serengeti aviators (Pete) with mineral lenses and they're the best sunglasses I've ever had. The weight difference is hardly noticable and far outweighs nylon lenses with scratch resistance (still, don't drop them). The photocromic (light adjusting) is nice in a set of sunglasses, it's still 'bright' in direct sunlight, but not harsh, and when it's getting darker, they adjust well to help you see until the sun is actually set.

I have the same, and am thinking of getting the brown drivers still as I miss the color popping effect! The green 555nm lenses seem to darken/dull the scene a bit too much for my taste.

Agreed. Nothing exciting as far as contrast goes with a green lense. Brown drivers are where it is at for Serengeti.

Anecdotal, but I have the mastens with the green lenses and a different pair of serengeti's with the saturn driver's. I prefer the green in all situations unless it's overcast or dusk. Maybe it's a glass vs non-glass thing, but I love the 555s.

Nice glasses, love Serengeti's...but the 123mm arm seems small. For those of you that bought in the past, how's the fit?
