Worth every penny, as you probably already know, this is the best video game ever created, runs at 4K@30FPS on Series X. No next Gen upgrade, if you want 60 FPS you will need to play it on PC.

Update [Thu 13th Nov 2025, 2pm]: It's official! Rockstar Games has announced today that Red Dead Redemption is indeed getting an Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S upgrade on December 2nd, 2025.
This version will include 60FPS, enhanced image quality, HDR support and resolutions up to 4K. If you already own the digital version that was first made backwards compatible for Xbox One (and still works today on Series X and S), you'll be able to upgrade to the new version for free.
Same question. Also, does anyone know if no rush credits could apply to this? Not seeing them as an option on payment screen, so wanted to ask in case someone knew a way to use them for this.
Edit - In case anyone else had the same question, I found several reddit threads saying Amazon stopped allowing digital video game purchases with the rewards a couple years ago.
if you need some help falling asleep at night...this is the game for you!!!it is pretty though.
I totally understand that in fact a lot of ppl finding RDR2 too slow or boring. I am just feeling lucky that i enjoyed every hours of this game. Oh no, every hundreds of hours

I loved the first game, it was an amazing for the time...
I even bought RDR2 on release... has some fantastic mechanics and the attention to detail is unparalleled, but my god it was just so damn boring. i literally fell asleep playing it a dozen times.

Adding to your comment, I would just look for physical copy of this masterpiece if anyone still uses drive to play the games. One day you can boot up your PSx or XBx and show the grand kids what a good game looked like when they all delete copies from everyone's digital library or they stop loading because they decide your console is too old to play games like how iPhones stop working because apps require newer iOS when the phone is more than capable of running those apps due to "security"
Clicked on it and guess I bought the PS4 version back in the day. LOL I spent months playing this game.. such a classic. Might just get it to add to my Xbox digital library.

Having never played either Red Read 1 or 2, should I get 2 first and skip 1, or is it better to start with 1?
Both are good. You can probably find RDR1 pretty cheap now, so it's worth the expense to find out. Try to get the GOTY edition that includes "Undead Nightmare".
If you play RDR2 first, you'll probably find it hard to go back and play RDR1.
The stories aren't so intertwined that you'll be lost playing RDR2 without doing RDR1.
