Also I've had so many crappy long nose pliers.... ive had two pairs of Kleins. You can find them for twice the price of the Craftsman and they are well worth the extra cost. My favorite since the late 90s. The point closes we'll, is strong, it cuts when I need it and isnt flimsy when squeezing hard.
The Kleins are kind of the industry standard but take a look at the package before buying, they've been moving hand tool sales overseas lately. Haven't heard about the needlenose SKU but some other pliers are affected.
Acme lists this SKU as India made and I suspect all of this red-and-black handle style of Craftsman pliers are, as opposed to the green rubber handled ones that seem to all be Chinese. The green Chinese ones are super low quality but I haven't tried these. I'm sure it's fine if you work somewhere your tools get lost / borrowed away a lot.
