Sitting having lunch about a mile away from a Best Buy that has them in stock. Will this do light gaming?

Specs are pretty terrible. The only thing justifying a "higher" price is the 17" screen

With that screensize, the screen resolution should at at least 1920 x 1200

The color space is poor. Meaning it can only show 62.5% of the sRGB color space. It likely also means other aspects of the screen are poor, ie a cheap @ss screen.

It is also low resolution for a large screen. of course for older users that may be a boon, making the font and other aspects of formatting natively larger.

Probably a fine enough choice for a lot of users but I would not want it.

This questions gets asked often but you need to define 'light gaming' with titles. Some games can run on just about anything made and other titles some may think of as 'light gaming' would actually require a fairly good GPU/CPU combo.

Thsi can be researched easily online as well as any imbeded Ai can with reasonable accuracy tell you if this CPU/GPU can run X game if so about how well.

Google "______ hinge issues". Pretty much every brand has hinge issues, especially on lower end models with large screens.

Yeah and why should we stand for that?? Just because something is lower tier doesn't mean we should pay hundreds of dollars for it just to fall apart before the warranty and for them to not stand behind their warranty. (Ahem Lenovo)

Thanks for the heads up. No use in arguing specs if the whole laptop will fall apart.
