IMHO "Contractor Grade" = good enough for a pro use because your wouldn't care if it gets lost / damaged

7-11 update: The hose itself probably middle-of-the-road quality. There were 'dents' from the strapping that suggested cheap hose. I capped it, put it under pressure and left in sun to 'break in'. I was surprised how the hose expanded - IDK if this is good or bad but I can say this appears better than my 100' 10yr old top-of-line Harbor Freight hose it is replacing.

I see on the HD website that their farm and ranch hose (also contractor grade, but can be used for hot water also and it's red in color) is only $32 for the same length and the packaging at least says it's a 3/4" size I.D. Gets very good ratings also.

IDK if I'd trust the Lifetime guarantee - the hose seem decent quality esp for the price, but doubt my kids will be inheriting it..

Interestingly that one only has a 10 year guarantee unlike the lifetime for the hose in this SD. But any extended warranty or guarantee like that at least hopefully means they will stand by their product. That said, I agree neither are hoses anyone will be passing down to their kids or generations, it's just a hose after all, right?
