NiimBlue is a free website and Android app that'll let you design and print labels for these printers without an account. it has its own Bluetooth pairing process, but i found it worth it. i don't need any more accounts or subscriptions in my life.

i have the nimbot with the half inch x 2" labels, got it for a similar deal for $10 after coupon. the app wants you to sign up for their "pro" subscription which is annoying, but if you want a very inexpensive label printer for addresses etc then this is a good deal. i'm getting this one too, it's honestly cheaper to get these printers than to even buy the refill labels

I got one of these last time around. This is one of the best things I've purchased. I use these to label bins to store all the random unnecessary crap I purchased from SD.
I get the refills from Aliexpress. Definitely worth it.

AliExpress has compatible labels at a cheaper price, it still has the DRM chip so it is not dirt cheap but affordable.

Do these labels (or text) rub off or fad with handling and / or heat? For example used as an asset sticker on an item that is going to be handled a lot (like a tablet) or left in a hot car?

These are thermal labels. I used them for a bunch of bins that went into a storage unit through some weeks of heat, but I didn't use any that had long term exposure to heat like labeling something to sit in a car 24/7. Take that as you will.

It seems hit and miss, honestly. My wife has a label on her water bottle, and after 2 cycles through the dishwasher, the print faded off the label. I also had a label on the outside of my wallet, and after 6 months or so, the print was gone. That said, I have a label on my debit card inside the same wallet, and it still looks brand new after a year and all of my labels on boxes in my 100°F+ garage are fine as well after almost 2 years
