I have used my Pegasus for at least 10 years and it is still going strong. To be honest I have never seen Pegasus on sale at such a low price. I am very positive it is well below cost, which was around $72 back then. So this price is definitely a steal.
My only complaint is the shoulder straps lack padding to the edge. This makes them stronger, but the trade-off is they can abrade your shoulders and collar bone.
SwissGear still makes premium ones with padding to the edge, but they're harder to track down.
Still a good bag and a good deal today considering inflation.
FYI: The Sams Club exclusive one is on clearance for $30. It didnt have "Pegasus" on it, but it's practically the same thing. Good luck finding one, but before anyone chimes in it's cheaper at Sams Club, they're gone.

i can second this, ive had mines for over 10 years. i use it to travel.
LOL! 19 years now and use it everyday for work/travel. Its been to many countries around the world! Only issue is - the rubber handle cover broke in several pieces (still attached) within a few years - annoying.
I have a few other swiss gear bags, and I find all of them are very solid. My tech elite bag is going on 3 years of daily use between laptop, tablet tools and other IT equipment/tools being hauled around, still works great and is holding up well. The narrow backpack is my personal on the go bag (steam deck + tablet and a few chargers/accessories). It's about about 2 years in without any issues as well.
Nice backpack with lots of storage options. Well made. But it's huge. Might be considered too large for some people. I use mine when I work on site for clients. I can put in plenty of tools if needed. I'd still shrink it down a bit if I could. Works pretty well as a weekender type bag, though. If your business trip takes you overnight for a few days, you might be able to backpack it assuming you don't have to bring a suit.

I have 17 years still going and you got me beat! Rubber handle cover broke too, more recent some of the threads on the should strap are giving way too. I'll probably have to nab a new one here

I have been using this bag for 14 years. The only thing that really wore out was the straps, the seams on the elastic trim tend to rip so I've had to sew them back on a few times. I honestly didn't know they still made this style so I'm definitely buying one. (I don't like change)
Its a great work pack especially for a technician or engineer. Tons of room and generously fits a 17" laptop plus a thin second monitor in the padded laptop slot. I also keep tools, screwdrivers, pens, business cards, multimeter, batteries, etc. The pockets on the sides are great for drinks/water bottles. The only downside to being able to store all that stuff is the bag gets heavy AF when fully loaded.

Just be aware this is a large backpack. If you're looking for something slim and sleek then this isn't the one for you.
