I just ordered the JMGO N1S 4K. Any thoughts on whether this might be a better purchase? Thank you.
How much was the n1s? I was looking into JMGO, the N3 ultimate seems interesting, and they just released the N5s ultra in China which appears to have insane specs.
Which One Should You Buy?Choose the Optoma PK32 if you are prioritizing competitive console or PC gaming, already own an Apple TV or Fire Stick, or need optical zoom to fit a specific screen size from a set distance.Choose the JMGO N1S 4K if you want a true standalone streaming machine that you can easily move around the house, project onto the ceiling, and enjoy hyper-vivid, colorful movie nights.
I just got PK32 (during BHP sale) and set it up over the weekend. Overall i m happy at the purchase. I m still planning to buy and try XGIMI and JMGO just to compare even these are twice the cost i paid.
If you are planning to upgrade from any any old Optoma projector in a theater setup, looks like this is not the best.
Im currently using Optoma HD146X 1080P Full HD Vibrant Home Theater Projector for the past 5+ years and its an old model, but when I compared this looks like the one in the deal is not great. not worth switching — for my setup, the PK32 would be a downgrade despite being "4K." PK32 is rated 1,100 ANSI lumens. Your HD146X is roughly 3,600 lumens. PK32 is Optoma's new lifestyle line — designed for apartments, dorms, and shared spaces, meant to sit on a coffee table or shelf rather than be a dedicated theater unit.

The N1S 4K was $699 from Amazon.

There's no manual focus on the JMGO. It also doesn't go above 60Hz.
Some might also prefer that the Optoma is just a projector and not tied to Google TV.
But the real trouble with the less common brands is they sometimes overstate their specs.
