Anker Prime 160W is a very compact travel charger built for powering a laptop, phone, and other USB C devices from one small block. The standout appeal is its size, with true high wattage in a form factor smaller than many 140W chargers, and the display can be useful for checking output. The main drawbacks are heat and power limits, with repeated reports of it running hot even at light load and not always sustaining advertised wattage. It also costs a premium, especially if you do not need 140W or the smallest possible charger.

They aren't $100 either.
Here's one for $36 Lol

Good find. I own other baseus chargers and they are solid. I've had a 120W one for 4 years that's still going strong. (I have other 140w chargers too)

I had the same gut reaction that $100 as a "sale" price for a wall wart 140w gan charger is utterly ridiculous. Glad others feel similarly

No app for remote charging control? Unbelievable. And they're not using LG 4k panels. I would also expect 250w charging at this price point.

I would if it didn't drop the USB-A port from the 140w.
I fly for work at least once a month, so a single compact charger for laptop, phone, etc. that has enough wattage to charge quickly AND/OR run a GPU is a big deal for me.
Here :

This one is half the price, charges at a full 140w, and has a USB-A port.

Just out of curiosity, do the outlets in airplane seats put out 160W of power?
For airline seats, you're better off with a design like this:
https://www.amazon.com/RUIDUN-Cha...B0FMQXKQHW

You use the UK plug with it, and it actually will stay in the socket. I have the UGreen version of this, but you can't find it on Amazon any more. Unfortunately, these styles top out around 70w, far from 140w. For 140w, you can use this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BSGH355C

I have this exact model, but I normally pack it in the suitcase and use it in the hotel. But it will work on the plane; I have no idea about plane wattage limits, though. Notice how the plug has no particular weight on it, which is important! Airline plugs are usually VERY loose fitting, so normal chargers fall out, repeatedly. Or worse, they just stop working. The UK plug tends to work the best, followed by flat/light designs with US plugs.

Something like this is also an OK choice for international travel:
https://www.amazon.com/TESSAN-Uni...B0GKP6B1SX

However, I wouldn't take that for use within the US/Canada.

I keep reading all these people referencing a single review on YT about how Anker chargers can't keep up the maximum charge voltage for the duration of the charge. These same people have no idea how voltage works and how heat is generated during charging. If Anker chargers or any charger don't use a step process to regulate the charging voltage, then the charger will probably overheat and explode or catch fire. High power LED flashlights do the same step process to protect people from hurting themselves.

Please do yourselves a favor and take a course in thermodynamics at your local community college.

FYI this is too high powered for the outlets on airplanes. Couldn't charge a single thing on latest international flights. Overall works fine otherwise.

If you just ignore that you're paying a premium for smaller size for the Anker one, than sure.

If size doesn't matter than the baseus one is a good price for a 140w charger. That's exactly what I said.

For those buying this JUST for the 140W capability, the specs show on 120V it only runs for 1 hr @ 140W then "derates" to a lower amount.
Personally, I would not want to be the person in the airplane seat next to anyone using 140W continuous on their laptop. Smilie
At least they're being honest about this now

The 140W version overheats like mad, and they just kept taking returns instead of admitting the problem

If you're going to make a random statement, back it up with a "because..." so people don't have to ask why. I'll ask...why is "160W is misleading"?

The last Anker 140w charger w Smart touch display I purchased only did 100w per USBC, despite advertising 140w. That was $60 and felt like a rip off. No way I would spend $100 on one.
The problem with ratings like "140W" comes down to what charging standards does it support? 100W is the max charging for most devices, unless it supports PD 3.1 and the alternative voltages above 20V. Many laptops with 100W+ chargers are proprietary and may not work at all with 3rd party chargers. But as long as the charger does 140W with PD 3.1 and supports 28V, 36V, and 48V outputs and your laptop supports it, you should be good. "Should" being the operative word!

Thanks. I just bought one to see if my Asus Zenbook A16 will stop complaining about an underpowered charger when I use my current 140W charger. I think my current one doesn't support voltages over 20V so at most will only put out 100W. We'll see...if the Baseus still makes my laptop complain, I'll send it back. The ASUS adapter that came with the laptop is big and heavy and only has one output.

The Anker would be fun with all the digital screens but not for $100. Don't need all that.
