Too bad most of these solar lights don't list the bulb brightness or the battery capacity behind that solar panel. It's very hard to compare solar string lights without knowing that information.

Comments say that it is not bright enough to scare off animals which is what I was hoping for.

These are definitely not bright but does add a nice ambiance to your deck or garden. I have it attached to my deck and it's quite nice at night. For actually seeing at night, I have a different set of string lights that are much brighter but they are not solar. I don't think you can get solar that will be that bright.
