This looks very similar in concept to the Steadyrack Bike Rack. I have a couple of those and they have worked great to hang and pivot close to the wall to save space.

These are significantly cheaper so your mileage may vary.

doesnt seem to work with 29ers or road bikes, only 26ers or kids bikes. maybe 27.5 but those will have a bigger OD than 28" too. anyone have one and able to say otherwise? Price is good enough I might buy and try anyway but the numbers seem to indicate it isn't for me.

Yeah, this post led me down a quick rabbit hole of similar designs. Seems like the less expensive ones are for 26" and smaller. Someone else posted the "original" style of this design, which says it will hold 29ers, but is closer to $100.

I have a very similar, "generic" Steadyrack clone from Amazon that handles 29" wheels without a problem. I've been using it on my 23lb gravel bike for about 6 months now, works great.
