If you look closely, it's not just a 5-year-old CPU, but also has an RTX 3060 GPU, AND 16GB RAM, AND 1TB SSD, for $539!
Please go ahead and post a more recent/better spec'd gaming desktop PC for around this price if you think this is such a bad deal, instead of commenting something of least importance and relevancy.

Better than a PS5 or Series X for cheaper? Uh, no brainer for a console gamer looking to get into PC gaming.

Yep. I've had this exact desktop for a couple years now and it keeps on plugging along. If anyone has another stick of 16gb DDR4 in their spare parts, it does much better with 32gb of ram for newer games.

Intel is literally spinning up 10th gen+ fabs again to deal with the RAM shortage. I'm still running on a 9th gen and I'm happy with it.

Unfortunately I don't know how much the LGA1200 cpu chips will help, an analyst report came out today saying ddr3 and ddr4 are expected to see a 50% price increase over the next 6 months.

Sold out fast didn't it. The 3060 coming with it is a great part of it. Probably ps5 perf but the dlss is the reason its valuable. And the option to turn down graphics to hit 4k 60fps with dlss.

For anyone buying this, assuming it comes with the glass panel, use that, and Install an inake fan in the front. Airflow is bad but those two mods make a huge difference.

FYI, the Ryzen 5500, 16GB, AM4 mobo combo from Microcenter for $200 is similar performance (also both are 64watt CPU's with 6 cores).

However, buying a RTX 3060, 1TB SSD, case, win11, and PSU will probably get you up over $539 as well. Then again, this case doesn't have the best airflow and a used 3070 for $250 can handle more AAA titles at 1440p than a $180-200 RTX 3060.

I'd still build my own for the $600 price range to get a lot more from a slight price increase, but I'd also be fine saving the 4-6 hours shopping and assembling everything just buying this. Time is money.
