Y'all keeps complaining about phone storage. Just wait till you see the new norm on the new phone pricing for this year and potentially all future pricings. Hint: AI memory.

Bought a "new" pixel phone from woot. What arrived was a refurbished pixel a, which is a much cheaper phone. It was hard to get someone on the phone at woot, still waiting on a refund.

Why get a device with this kind of camera, and use 128gb? 128gb is really less after you account for system updates, basic apps, etc. you're never getting 128gb. A few 4k videos will swallow this amount fast! If the person doesn't use the camera what's the point of even getting a phone like this.
If you upload to a photo backup service like Google photos you don't need to keep everything stored on the device. I take tons of pics/vids with my Pixel 9 Pro 128gb and whenever I get close to full I go into Google Photos and run "Free up space on this device."

Uh huh, wait until you start to fill that free space up... Then Google will offer you a low cost Monthly subscription service to add a bit more space.🙄

I would be on this if it were 256GB. I'm still running my S20 FE with snapdragon. I'm still a little hesitant with Exynos, as i haven't researched enough in recent years to see how much it has improved. I remember reading 5 or 6 years ago that Exynos isn't close in terms of performance or efficiency compared to snapdragon. Anyone with an Exynos chip in a recent phone? Any complaints?
We upgraded from S20 and S20fe(same cpu) to S23fe, then S25fe. The S25fe is significantly better than S23fe(s23fe overheated a lot under heavy load)
The performance is solid and much faster than S20/s20fe. Of course still noticeably slower than S25+ but S25+ is at a different price point. Since no microsd after S20 series I have been using a $10 Anker USB-c card reader to copy photos and videos to/from MicroSD catds. Its not as convenient but way cheaper than buying 512GB internal storage.

My S22 ultra just stopped connecting to mobile networks recently so been shopping for replacement. I've been considering $400 Pixel 10A, $500 Pixel 10, used phones on Swappa, etc. Almost skipped over on this one due to everyone hating on the 128gb storage only to find that my 3-4 year old phone only has 128gb storage and I have 30% capacity left. Don't always assume the internet crowd has the same priorities as you because I almost passed on this without even checking my own use case.

I also got the Metro deal, and that cost me about $172. Obviously I need to wait a year for that one to unlock. It's sitting idle in a box, and I'm about half way to unlock day.
I got two of them from Metro last October, each for $99 + $65 one-month plan. They will be unlocked in about 3 months. Great deal.

What's your price range? Starting in 2023, even the low-end A1x models (A15, A16, A17) have very good Super AMOLED hi-res screens. But the A1x models are slow. If you don't need the high-end S2x models, go for a A3x or A5x model. In Samsung's numbering scheme, the first digit is its place in the totem pole (A1x, A2x, A3x, A5x), the 2nd digit is the model year. For example, an A34 is a lower-mid 2024 model, an A36 is a lower-mid 2026 model, an A56 is a mid-range 2026 model.

Thanks. This is so helpful and insightful! Never knew about this numbering scheme. Price is not a limitation but would like to avoid spending on something I am not going to have much use of. Currently using A32 (4g version) which is outdated and out of updates so need to upgrade.

have Samsung EPP and got this phone as a gift for my teenager for about same price after trading in A54 at www.samsung.com The phone is very snappy and I think this is a very good price point for the specs.
Would definitely recommend.

I think you'll be happy with an A36. Price of the A37 is much higher than the A36, but for not much improvement in processor speed.

If you need MicroSD, only the A10 series & A20 SERIES has them...A17 & A27 been latest.

If you're looking for faster, even the budget latest A37 & A57 I would go above 128gb unless you're currrently using around that and are fine since no microsd...

I have phone with 1tb microsd (about 1,000gb expanded storage) but you can even put 2tb if you can afford it.
