If you need MicroSD, only the A10 series & A20 SERIES has them...A17 & A27 been latest.

If you're looking for faster, even the budget latest A37 & A57 I would go above 128gb unless you're currrently using around that and are fine since no microsd...

I have phone with 1tb microsd (about 1,000gb expanded storage) but you can even put 2tb if you can afford it.
Thanks!

We upgraded from S20 and S20fe(same cpu) to S23fe, then S25fe. The S25fe is significantly better than S23fe(s23fe overheated a lot under heavy load)The performance is solid and much faster than S20/s20fe. Of course still noticeably slower than S25+ but S25+ is at a different price point. Since no microsd after S20 series I have been using a $10 Anker USB-c card reader to copy photos and videos to/from MicroSD catds. Its not as convenient but way cheaper than buying 512GB internal storage.
I'm glad to hear the S25 FE has a better processor and running more efficiently (no heat). I really like the S20 FE size, which is almost identical to the S24+, S25+ and S26+

Did you get used to the S25 FE as the phone is a tad larger/heavier than your S20 FE?

They are almost the same and S25FE is thinner(slightly):
S25FE:
161.3 x 76.6 x 7.4 mm (6.35 x 3.02 x 0.29 in)

S20FE
159.8 x 74.5 x 8.4 mm (6.29 x 2.93 x 0.33 in)

Also both weigh the same 190g.

Screen is bigger because of better ratio:

6.7 inches, 110.2 cm2 (~89.2% screen-to-body ratio) 6.5 inches, 101.0 cm2 (~84.8% screen-to-body ratio)

That is said, I mainly upgraded due to better camera and software updates. S20 and S20FE were great phones back then.
I don't really play games or run resource-intensive apps on the phone but I think apps and games should run better on newer phones. (assuming compatible)

the main reason to buy samsung phones is because of their software support promise. 7 years of updates. same with google pixel. other brands will tell you to pound sand in a few years. im experiencing this issue now with my oneplus 9, this month my bank app will block it for being too out of date. if it was a samsung it still would have been updated.

Decision rule:

• If your EPP/EDU S26 price (256GB, after trade-in) lands under ~$650-700 → take the S26. At that price the thermal/longevity math from earlier tips clearly in its favor and the price premium over the FE shrinks to a level the extra 1.5 years of thermal headroom easily justifies.
• If it's still sitting at $800+ even with trade-in → take the S25 FE on Woot now. Don't wait speculating for a better EPP drop — you don't have unlimited runway, and the FE-plus-repair math from earlier still nets out cheaper through year 5 regardless.

Given the 7-month clock for the S22, I wouldn't sit on this indefinitely either way.

I have been dragging my feet on buying a phone, probably because I keep having the irrational thought that prices will go down but with the chip shortage, I doubt that will happen in the near future. :-(

AI keeps telling me that if I can get a Certified S24+ for around the same price, which it seems that I can, is a better deal because the S24+ comes with 12gb of memory. It isn't like I can't afford a more expensive phone but the fact that my S10+ I got for free as my wife's company upgraded her and it still works, buying a $1,000 phone seems crazy.

My daughter has a refurb S10+ that she got from a Lifeline company. It's still working as a phone, but Android updates stopped at Android 12 and many of her apps no longer work. She'll be getting one of the S25FE's that I bought from Metro when they get unlocked in October.

Better than pixel 10?
The two phones are comparable, it really depends on what you want. If you want Google's cleaner software experience and the fanciest AI tools, go with the Pixel. If you want to do a lot of mobile gaming with the best performance, go with Samsung. This phone can run Cyberpunk, if you're so inclined.....look up GameNative and GameHub, you can run PC games on a phone now, but it's all optimized for Qualcomm processors (which the Pixel does not have).
