Hexgears X1 Pro is a very cheap 68 key wireless mechanical keyboard that stands out as a strong entry level board for tinkering, with hot swappable switches, double shot PBT keycaps, and Bluetooth or 2.4 gigahertz connectivity. The steel plate gives it a solid, weighted feel, the included wrist rest is appreciated, and the stock switches are quiet enough for office use. The backlight is hard to see unless viewed from directly above, and wireless performance can feel laggy in games. It is a budget board with enough hardware to make modding worthwhile.

Tinkerers learning keyboard mods, because it is hot-swappable and easy to improve with foam, tape, or switch swaps.

Budget buyers wanting a solid everyday board, because it feels like a good value with a sturdy plate, PBT keycaps, and wireless connectivity.
CEOofMoney SociableScent1572 Hotlavacake lugee
Office typists wanting a quiet wireless mechanical, because the switches stay quiet enough for office use and can be tuned to a light thock.
SociableScent1572 lugee
Shoppers who want a cheap board mainly for the switches, because the Kailh Box switches alone can justify the price.
Tarkov

Buyers expecting premium build quality, because the board matches its low price rather than feeling high-end.
CEOofMoney yates.jiang
Competitive online gamers needing reliable wireless input, because the connection can become unresponsive and repeat keys during play.
yates.jiang
People who need a bright backlight for dark rooms, because the lighting is only readable when viewed from directly above.
FabulousHamster606
Shoppers who want effortless switch removal, because the switches are very stuck in place and may require separating the plate and PCB.

The keyboard offers wireless connectivity options while supporting hot-swappable Kailh switches for easy upgrades.
CEOofMoney BoastfulMeat152 Hotlavacake
The board can be modded with foam and tape to improve the feel and sound for a semi-silent setup.
Hotlavacake lugee lugee
The keyboard is reported as solid and well-packaged, with quiet textile switches suitable for office use.
SociableScent1572 lugee lugee
The wrist rest is described as a nice addition for comfort during typing sessions.

The backlight is reported as essentially unusable unless viewed directly from above in the dark.
FabulousHamster606
Wireless performance is reported as poor for gaming, with lag and unresponsive or stuck key behavior.

Switch removal can be difficult because switches are stuck in place and may require separating the PCB and plate.

Review sentiment is described as terrible, which suggests potential quality or reliability concerns for some buyers.

Common Questions (5)

At $22.99 it is widely described as a strong budget mechanical keyboard, especially for hot-swapping, modding, or using the switches alone. It is not the highest-quality board, but it is still considered competitive with keyboards under $100.
CEOofMoney BoastfulMeat152 Hotlavacake Tarkov
It uses a steel plate with very little flex, double-shot PBT keycaps, and Kailh switches, and the case already includes foam between the PCB and plate. The wrist rest is hard plastic, and the switches can be difficult to remove without separating the PCB and plate.
CEOofMoney SociableScent1572 lugee
Yes. It has hot-swappable switches and wireless connectivity over Bluetooth or 2.4GHz, making it a cheap board to swap switches or learn keyboard mods. The board is also described as a strong entry-level mechanical for under $25.
CEOofMoney Hotlavacake
Wireless performance can be poor for gaming, with lag or sudden unresponsiveness that can ruin online play. It is better suited to general typing than competitive wireless gaming.
yates.jiang
The backlight is very hard to see unless you are looking at the keyboard from directly above, so it is not very useful in the dark. That limitation is a major reason some rate the board closer to $20 than its full price.

Are Akko rosewoods supposed to be very silent?

I lubed the Rosewoods, which mute the switches a bit. They aren't silent like Silent Peaches, but give a light thock that doesn't seem too annoying for an office environment.

Thanks. It looks like there's a sea of different switches out there

I got to say. the quality matches the price. the wireless feature is pretty terrible especially u r in a game. if u wanna use it in a online game, do not buy it. it will ruin ur game.

suddenly unresponsive or keep typing one key when u do nothing.
