Its usually one of two complaints with these cheap thin all-plastic designs:

- They dont completely prevent water from getting inside during a rain.

- They do poorly when left in a spot that gets a lot of direct sunlight. The lid warps, the color fades, and/or they become brittle and Crack.

The flaws are real, but some people can work with them and get their money's worth.

My 170-gal Keter storage deck box holds a patio set of 6 seat pillows (19"x19"x3") + 6 back pillows (a bit smaller). They occupy pretty much all space without compression. 82-gal would hold about half of those.

I have 3 of these plastic/resin boxes on my pool deck in full Florida sun, and this has not been my experience at all (pretty sure one is about a decade old, too). My biggest issue is damage from shipping, and the corners get chipped and cracked.
