Obligatory PSA: These have a bitter coating on them to prevent children and pets from swallowing them, which can be very dangerous. The coating can be removed by lightly sanding it off, but wiping it off with rubbing alcohol or isopropyl alcohol will suffice. The coating can act like an insulating layer and affect conductivity in certain devices.

Obligatory PSA: These have a bitter coating on them to prevent children and pets from swallowing them, which can be very dangerous. The coating can be removed by lightly sanding it off, but wiping it off with rubbing alcohol or isopropyl alcohol will suffice. The coating can act like an insulating layer and affect conductivity in certain devices.

I've had this problem where they don't work in some devices because of the coating. Also, be mindful since they added this "Color Alert" it can make a mess of the actual devices they are in. Personally, I've been using the Panasonic's that are frequently found for $6-8 and last just a long.

same here, Panasonic and Tenergy is my go to, they cheaper, great consistent voltage and quality and do last long!
