This Metabo HPT 18 gauge cordless brad nailer kit stands out as a compact, lighter version of the newer signature model, with the extra 2.0Ah battery making the bundle more appealing. The nailer is described as reliable for years without misfires, and the smaller, lighter design should help in tight spaces and trim work like moulding or dresser drawers. Pricing context puts it ahead of similar offers at Amazon and Lowe's, especially since extra Metabo batteries are usually pricey. The main catch is the shipping math on the bonus battery, which can push the effective total up a bit unless the cart is adjusted. A strong value if you want a portable brad nailer kit with battery backup.
The kit can be more cost-effective because the bonus battery shipping is $6.49 under $200 total.
The included extra Metabo HPT battery can improve value since replacement batteries can be expensive and rarely discounted.
The NT1850DFTM model is designed to be more compact and lighter than the NT1850DGM for easier maneuvering in tight spaces.
The nailer can be a good fit for trim moulding and securing dresser drawers with practical guidance for cart free-shipping thresholds.
Model confusion between NT1850DFTM and other NT1850 variants can make it easy to buy the wrong nailer for the intended use.
The kit's overall value may be less compelling if you already have compatible Metabo HPT 18V batteries and do not need the extra 2Ah pack.
The deal math can change because Acme charges $6.49 shipping for the bonus battery when the order total is under $200.
The free-shipping threshold requires adding items to the cart to reach $199, which can add extra cost if you only want the nailer kit.

This looks like a good deal with the extra battery, even with the shipping.

$159 is a screaming deal on this. I don't know why the other poster said Metabo HPT batteries are expensive, they're some of the cheapest ones out there, the 2.0ah 18v can be found for $25 pretty regularly (and are liberally sprinkled in kits) and Acme had the Multivolts on sale earlier this week. (They might be thinking of German Metabo, which is confusingly a different platform, this is Hitachi Power Tools.)
The 200psi pancake air compressor (which is noticeably nicer than other 6gal pancakes) is $199-20=$179 (it goes on sale at Lowes for $169 somewhat often), but throw a $2 fitting or some nails in and now it's $151, which is a great deal.
The narrow crown stapler is $269-50 =$219, but if you can find something else in the $30s range from the sale to throw in (like a saw blade) you basically get the extra for free. (E: I ended up adding the $89 multitool and getting both and the extra battery for $283)
Also paypal is showing 3% back for Acme purchases right now.
