Panther lake would be ideal for this type of laptop but it is double the price.
Solid specs for $500. 8x Zen 4 cores / 780m RDNA 3 is still a good generalist setup. The 780m is capable of playing quite a bit, as long as you play on low. With the battery it's listed as having, (50Wh) I think the 7 hours they estimate is unrealistic. 5 hours is more likely with this chipset, with basic non-gaming tasks. Gaming will be more like 1:30-3:00 hours, depending on how demanding the game is.
Too bad it seems like they raised the price to $579.
